David's life was a tapestry woven with dedication and hard work. He spent many years as a truck driver, a profession that showcased his resilience and determination. In 1972, he moved to Grimes County, where he found his true calling as a ranch foreman at Cedar's Ranch, a position he proudly held for 30 years. A resident of Grimes County for over five decades, David was known for his unwavering work ethic and his ability to turn challenges into opportunities. He was a man of many talents, whether breaking horses, building fences, or teaching aspiring truck drivers the ropes.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was a man of profound character and endless generosity. His willingness to lend a helping hand was as boundless as his love for the great outdoors. From trail rides to tending to his animals, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life and shared that joy with everyone around him.
A service to celebrate David's remarkable life will be held on June 4, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Hernandez Funeral Home, located at 800 4th St. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who supported David during his illness, providing comfort and compassion when it was needed most.
