The daughter of Lloyd and Anna Hoadley, Goldie was the seventh of eight children. Her family moved to Idaho in 1943 where her father worked on the Anderson Ranch Dam. She graduated from Emmett High School in 1952.
In 1954, Goldie married Ernest Dixon, four daughters were born during their marriage. They divorced in 1971. Fate brought her Charles (Charlie) Cruggs, whom she married on April 5, 1974. They had one son together. Charlie and Goldie shared their lives until he passed in 1996.
Goldie was predeceased by her husband Charlie Cruggs, her parents, her brothers and sisters, and her great-grandson, Garrett Pierpont. Her legacy lives on through her devoted children: Lee Anne Hawley, Chris Brun, Jean Robinson (Ronald), Vicky Trevathan (Karl), and David Cruggs. Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Michael, Michelle, Annette, Robert, Olivia, Victoria, Julie, Stephen, Stephanie, James, Robby and Shea, as well as her 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A woman of simple pleasures, Goldie loved spending time with her family, a love that was the cornerstone of her life. She had a passion for reading, enjoyed playing games on her computer or tablet, going for drives with her grandson to see the changes to Mountain Home as well as the surrounding area and the occasional trip to Jackpot. Her vivacious spirit and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
