It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Goitsemodimo Blom, who departed this world peacefully at home on July 13, 2026, at the tender age of 26. Born on October 8, 1999, Goitsemodimo was a beacon of joy and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Goitsemodimo was cherished by his parents, Olebogeng Matlape and Kelatlhegile Betty Blom, who nurtured his dreams and supported his every endeavor. His journey began in the classrooms of Rekgaratlhile Secondary School, where he completed his matric in 2018. Driven by an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a desire to make a positive impact, he pursued higher education at the University of South Africa, earning a Higher Certificate in Criminal Justice in 2020. His commitment to personal growth saw him further acquiring skills through a plumbing learnership with In Touch in 2025. At the time of his passing, Goitsemodimo was ambitiously pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Government, Administration, and Development, a testament to his dedication to bettering himself and, in turn, his community. Goitsemodimo was known far and wide for his infectious laughter and radiant smile, qualities that could light up any room and uplift the spirits of those around him. His presence was a source of warmth and joy, and he had an innate ability to make others feel valued and loved. As we remember Goitsemodimo, we are reminded of the special message his family holds close to their hearts: "When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen." This sentiment reflects the deep faith and hope that underscored Goitsemodimo's life and the lives of those he touched. In honor of Goitsemodimo's giving spirit, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue the legacy of kindness and compassion he embodied. Goitsemodimo Blom's departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Yet, his memory will forever be a source of light and inspiration.
