A pillar of strength and inspiration, Gloria was an active member of New Zion Temple in Fourth Ward for over 40 years. Her dedication to her church community was unparalleled, and she was deeply appreciated for her beautiful singing voice and profound knowledge of the Bible. Her favorite scripture, Psalm 91, was a source of comfort and strength, reflecting her powerful and unwavering faith. Gloria's family was her greatest joy and her most profound legacy. She is survived by her beloved son, Robert L. Joseph Sr., and daughter-in-law, Clara Joseph. Her love extended richly to her grandchildren, Sawanna, Consuelo, Robert Jr., Isaac, and Joshua, and her six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jason Jr., Lawren, Jazmyn, Robert Jr. III, and Kaydence, who were the light of her life. Each of them carries forth her legacy of love, kindness, and faith. Those who knew Gloria will remember her for her unconditional love and her ability to see the good in everyone. Her home was a haven, filled with love, laughter, and the sweet melodies of her favorite hymns. She leaves behind a family deeply grateful for the time they shared with her and the lessons she imparted through her actions and words.
