Gloria Jean McCadney was born on March 17, 1943, in Georgetown,Mississippi. On September 15, 2026, Gloria peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, strength, and family. Gloria was a woman who could light up a room with her energy and personality. She was smart, witty, direct, and never afraid to speak her mind. Above all, Gloria was a woman who deeply loved her family. Her family was her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent surrounded by the people she loved. Gloria found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking, dancing, playing, and spending time at the casino. She also enjoyed watching western movies and shows, settling in to enjoy a good story. Her lively spirit, quick wit, and unmistakable personality made her someone who could never be forgotten. Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Connie McCadney, wife of Ira Ross III, and Delisa McCadney; and her sons, Reginald McCadney Sr., husband of Aundreia McCadney, and Larry McCadney. She leaves a loving family that includes her grandchildren: Cornelia Sanders, Christina McCadney-Valley, Irielle McCadney, Skyler McCadney Sr., Kendrick Williams, LaTasha Williams, Reginald McCadney Jr., and Ragan McCadney, along with her extended family and loved ones. Gloria was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren, giving her a beautiful legacy that will continue through generations. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Gertrude Smith; father, Nathaniel Smith; husband, Sonny McCadney Sr.; son, Sonny McCadney Jr.; and granddaughters, Gertina McCadney, Lynnira McCadney, and Renina Doyle. Although Gloria's physical presence is no longer with us, her love, laughter, wisdom, strength, and unforgettable spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. The lessons she taught, the meals she prepared, the stories she shared, and the memories she created will continue to be cherished by her family for generations to come. Gloria Jean McCadney lived a life full of family, love, laughter, and personality. She was truly one of a kind—and there will never be another quite like her. Rest peacefully, Gloria.
