In Loving Memory

Gloria J Allie
October 24, 1946 — May 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Gloria J. Allie, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Gloria departed this world peacefully at home on May 25, 2026, after courageously battling a long illness. She was surrounded by the love that she so generously gave throughout her life.
Born on October 24, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gloria was the beloved daughter of the late John and Mary (Berry) Lilly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her cherished daughter Mary, granddaughter Gloria, sister Patricia, brothers Lawrence, Gerald, and Sylvester, and her devoted spouses, Willie Howard and Robert Allie.
Gloria's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. She was a pillar of strength and compassion within her community, always ready to extend her hand to anyone in need. Gloria had a remarkable gift for caring for others, a quality that defined her existence. Her home was a sanctuary for all—whether providing a meal, a place to stay, or a listening ear, Gloria turned no one away.
Her nurturing spirit lives on through her surviving children: William, Frank (Martha), Whitney, Bretney, Jon, Eric, Essence, Autumn, Niko, and Sakeem. Gloria's legacy continues to flourish in the hearts of her 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring love and influence. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary and Sue, her brother, John, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a vast circle of friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
Gloria's journey began at Taft Junior High, and her life was anchored by her faith as she was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness. Her spiritual beliefs were a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. She carried these values into her everyday actions, making a profound impact on those around her.
Her marriage to Willie Howard in 1961 marked the beginning of a family that would grow to include not only her biological children but also countless others who found solace and support in her presence. After her marriage to Willie ended in 1990, she found love again with Robert Allie, whom she married in 1991 and with whom she shared a decade of happiness until his passing in 2001.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Hospice of Cincinnati staff for their compassionate care and support during Gloria's final days.
In celebrating the life of Gloria J. Allie, we remember a woman whose heart knew no bounds, whose home was open to all, and whose legacy is one of love and selflessness. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, reunited with those she loved dearly.
