Born on October 3, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, Gloria was a beacon of love, strength, and generosity whose spirit touched the lives of many.
Gloria was the cherished daughter of the late George and Mary Howard and the devoted wife of the late Douglas Vicente Howard Sr., with whom she shared 30 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they fostered a loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and cherished memories. Her legacy lives on through her two sons, Douglas Vicente Howard Jr. and Rodrick Dewayne Howard, and her seven treasured grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Gloria pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a registered nurse, dedicating her career to the Cleveland Medical Center before relocating to Troy, Alabama. Her commitment to nurturing and caring for others extended beyond her professional life as she actively volunteered in her community, offering her time and talents to the Pike County Board of Education. Gloria's life's work was a testament to her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to making the world a better place.
Those who knew Gloria will remember her as an outgoing, family-oriented woman of remarkable courage and strength. Her joyous laughter and infectious smile brightened the lives of everyone she encountered. A service to celebrate Gloria's life will be held on March 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM at East Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 9990 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106. Family, friends, and all whose lives Gloria touched are invited to gather in her honor, sharing stories and memories that embody her incredible spirit.
