In Loving Memory of Gloria Bagley On March 31, 2026, the world lost a truly beautiful soul, Gloria Bagley, who passed away at the age of 77 after bravely fighting against the effects of a stroke. Born on September 10, 1948, in vibrant New Orleans, Louisiana, Gloria graced this world with her warmth, kindness, and an unfaltering smile that could light up the darkest of rooms. Gloria was the beloved daughter of the late Anna Mae Austin and Earnest Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a cherished group of brothers who she held close to her heart. But Gloria's legacy of love continues to flourish through her surviving family members, who include her devoted husband, John Bagley, and her loving children, George Bailey, Ramen Montgomery, Keishal Walker, Keishun Montgomery, Ceairon Bailey, and Johnetta McElveen. Her family was her pride and joy, and she delighted in being a grandmother to 18 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren. A lifelong learner and enthusiast, Gloria graduated from Booker T. High School, where she built the foundation for a life filled with purpose and community involvement. Her career saw her dedicated to her role at the Superdome, and she took immense pride in being a devoted housewife, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and delicious meals. Gloria was an active member of the First Pentecostal Church, where her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She found great joy in attending services, and her love for music was a testament to her spirited nature. Gloria cherished the time spent with her friends and family, often being the heart of any gathering with her infectious laughter and caring presence. Shopping trips were a favorite pastime, where she would often find little treasures that brought joy to those she loved. Known for her compassionate and caring personality, Gloria's warmth extended far beyond her family. She was a beacon of love and kindness to everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. Her very presence was a testament to her beautiful soul, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on April 7, 2026. As we gather to remember Gloria, we hold close the memories of her unwavering love and the joy she brought into our lives. In loving memory, Gloria Bagley will forever remain in our hearts—a testament to a life well-lived and a love that will never be extinguished.
