Gloria Anita Hartman

November 4, 1955 — October 12, 2026

With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of Gloria Anita Hartman on October 12, 2026. Born on November 4, 1955, in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee, Gloria was a beacon of warmth and compassion whose life was a testament to love, laughter, and selfless service. Gloria was the cherished daughter of Verne and Evelyn, whose nurturing spirit she carried forward in her own life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bruce, with whom she shared a unique bond so strong that they married not just once, but twice—a testament to their enduring love. Their reunion in the afterlife is surely joyous, as it includes not only her parents but also the numerous pets she lovingly rescued over the years. Gloria's life was defined by her devotion to her family and her faith. As an active member of the Connell Memorial United Methodist Church, she found great joy in serving her community, embodying the values of a true Christian woman. Her quick wit and infectious humor brought smiles to those around her, and her kind, warm-hearted nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Gloria's greatest delight was her family. She is survived by her son Woody and his wife Rebeccah, and her daughter Jennifer. Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren—Claire, Owen, Evie, Kaden, Abby, and Micah—who will forever cherish the memories of Sunday dinners and garden adventures. Gloria also leaves behind her devoted sisters, Kay and Renee, who shared in her joys and sorrows throughout the years. A lover of nature and all creatures great and small, Gloria was passionate about rescuing animals, ensuring no stray was ever left behind. Her green thumb and love for gardening brought beauty and tranquility to her life, much as she brought these qualities to the lives of others. As we remember Gloria, we celebrate a life lived with grace, humor, and unwavering kindness. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to local animal shelters or the Connell Memorial United Methodist Church, causes dear to Gloria’s heart. May her memory be a blessing and her love a guide for us all.
