May 11, 1935 — May 19, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn Warren, who departed this world peacefully on May 16, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on May 11, 1935, in the quaint town of Puckett, Mississippi, Glenn was the son of L.E. Warren and Mary Graves Warren, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his sister Jo Ann McGuffee Cote, brother Gordon Warren, and nephews Joe Warren and Lance Warren. Glenn's journey began in Puckett, where he graduated from Puckett High School in 1953. His first interest in drawing birds occurred in the third grade. His passion for art led him to pursue studies at the University of Southern Mississippi and further hone his craft in San Diego, California. Glenn's artistic journey was momentarily paused as he served his country in the United States Navy for four years. Upon completing his military service, Glenn embarked on a fulfilling career as the Art Director at Mississippi Educational Television, where his creativity and vision left an indelible mark. His talent and passion for art extended beyond his professional endeavors, as evidenced by his paintings being housed in the permanent collections of the Mississippi Museum of Art, Cottonlandia Museum, Smith Robertson Museum, and numerous private collections. He also received many awards for his work. Glenn's art was not just a reflection of his skill but a window into his soul, capturing the beauty and complexity of life through his eyes. Glenn possessed a rare gift—the ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His gentle spirit and warm demeanor were a source of inspiration, and his legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched. He is survived by his sister, Judi Long May and husband Tommy May, his nieces, Beverly McGuffee Boswell and Merri Warren McCoy, and his nephews Jason Long and Brock Long, along with a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Glenn's life and legacy. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Madison Home Place for their kindness and unwavering support during Glenn's final days. Forever in our hearts, Glenn’s light will never dim, as it continues to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
