In Loving Memory

Glenn Bunch
July 29, 1947 — May 7, 2026
In loving memory of Glenn Bunch, who passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on July 29, 1947, in the close-knit community of Devonia, TN, Glenn spent a lifetime embodying the values of hard work, love, and faith taught to him by his cherished parents, Lola and Buddy Bunch.
Glenn was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose life was a testament to the strength of family bonds. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, daughters Jennifer Bunch and Anita L. Knight, son-in-law Jimmy Smith, sisters Charlene Seibers, brothers David"New River" Bunch and Earl Bunch, nephews Keith Greene ,Brian Bunch and Danny Seibers, niece Kathy Lou Smith, and sisters-in-law Kitty Bridges and Dottie Bunch, Glenn is now joyfully reunited with them in eternal rest.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his children Ettie Jeanette Smith, Glenna Danielle Bunch, and Amanda McGill (Daniel); his treasured grandchildren Kayle Starnes (Jesse), James Michael Earl Smith (Kelli), Uriah Faith Smith, Judah Joseph Lee Hayes (Vaeh), Tyler Knight (Brittany), Abigail Bowling, Ashlyn Bowling, Brandon Bowling, Julie McGill, and Zoee McGill; and his precious great-grandchildren Dominic, Rosetta, and Olivia Starnes, Eli and Ryleigh Cox, Noel Hayes, and Makinzlee, Rayna, and Joselee Knight, along with step-grandson Zane. Glenn also leaves behind his dear siblings Pauline Greene (Manson), Ted Bunch (Teresa), Thomas Bunch (Kathy), Clarence Bunch (Mary), Edd Bunch (Angie), Lindon Bunch, and brother-in-law Robert Seibers, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and friends. Very special friend Stick Braden
Glenn’s early education at Rosedale Elementary and Lake City High School laid the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work. He forged a career in the coal mines, where he not only labored tirelessly but also fostered friendships that would last a lifetime. A man of simple pleasures, Glenn found joy in gardening and exploring flea markets with his buddies, always ready with a warm smile and a hearty laugh.
His life was guided by a deep and abiding faith as a proud member of the Baptist faith, where he was known for his enthusiastic praise and unwavering devotion to his Savior, Jesus Christ. Glenn’s faith was a beacon of hope and love, shining brightly for all who knew him.
A compassionate and gentle soul, Glenn shared a special bond with his two little doggies, Lucy and Lola, who brought him endless joy and comfort. It is a testament to their love and connection that Lucy passed away just a day before Glenn, perhaps to prepare a place for her beloved owner.
Though his marriage to Pamela Boley ended in 1992, together they shared the blessing of four children, whose lives are a testament to their father's enduring legacy of love and resilience.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we celebrate the life of Glenn Bunch—a life filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends. His memory will be forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A service to honor Glenn’s life and legacy will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to rejoice in the life of a man whose love knew no bounds. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to causes close to Glenn’s heart, ensuring that his legacy of kindness and generosity continues to touch lives.
May Glenn rest in peace, surrounded by the love of his heavenly family, and may his spirit live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
