It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glenn Allison, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on May 22, 2026, at the age of 65. Glenn was born on January 20, 1961, in Warner Robbins, Georgia, to the late Johnnie and Earl Allison. He lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a passion for discovery and service.
Glenn's journey of learning and discovery began at the University of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. His keen intellect and curiosity led him to a distinguished career as an Aerospace Engineer with MSIC. His work took him across the globe, from being part of an INF inspection team in Russia to a rapid response intelligence team in the UK. Glenn's career was not just a job; it was a testament to his commitment to advancing human knowledge and safety.
Beyond his professional achievements, Glenn was a man of boundless generosity and support. He was an active supporter and participant in the Special Olympics, dedicating his time and energy to enriching the lives of those around him. His compassion and kindness were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Glenn's interests were as diverse as they were enriching. He had a deep love for researching family origins, a pursuit that highlighted his appreciation for history and legacy. When physically able, he found joy in golfing and bowling, activities that mirrored his love for both precision and camaraderie. A talented cook, Glenn took pleasure in preparing meals for his loved ones, infusing every dish with warmth and care.
A man of great mechanical and technical skill, Glenn was the family's go-to handyman. Even in his later years, when physical participation was limited, he continued to plan family trips, ensuring that the bonds of love and togetherness remained strong.
Glenn leaves behind his cherished wife, Cynthia Allison, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge life offered. He is also survived by his beloved children: Brandon and Lana Allison, Bryan Allison, and Kathryn and Matt Gill. His legacy continues through his treasured grandchildren, Amzie Easterling and Adley Allison, who will carry forward the love and wisdom he imparted.
A celebration of Glenn's life will be held on July 12, 2026, at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens Conservatory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Madison County Special Olympics, ensuring that Glenn's spirit of generosity and support lives on.
Glenn Allison was a man whose influence and love will continue to resonate through the lives of those he touched. Though he has departed this earthly realm, his spirit remains with us, a guiding light of love and kindness. He will be missed beyond measure and remembered with deep affection and gratitude.
