Glenda Williams Mann
September 18, 1938 — April 1, 2026
Glenda Williams Mann, a cherished soul whose laughter and grace touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on September 18, 1938, in the quaint town of Blue Spring, Mississippi, Glenda was the beloved daughter of the late William Leon Treadaway and Irma Kathaleen Adkins.
In 1964, Glenda married the love of her life, Dwight Orman Mann, embarking on a beautiful journey together that spanned 59 years until Dwight's passing. Their love was a beacon of light, guiding them through life's joys and challenges with unwavering devotion. Together, they moved to Katy, Texas, in 1977, where they built a life filled with warmth and community.
Glenda was a proud and longstanding member of Katy's First Baptist Church, where she found spiritual solace and a second family among fellow congregants. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her with kindness and compassion.
A woman of refined tastes, Glenda was an avid collector of exquisite crystal glassware, curating a remarkable collection of Fenton and Fitz & Floyd pieces. Her eye for beauty was matched only by her love for laughter and her innate ability to find humor in every situation. Glenda's infectious laugh and joyful spirit were a source of comfort and happiness to all who knew her.
Her home was always open to friends and neighbors, where she often entertained with grace and good cheer. Glenda's dedication to her friendships was as strong as her love for her family, and she was a committed friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Glenda is survived by her loving brother, Jimmy Williams, her devoted niece, Michelle Loftin, and her cherished great-niece and great-nephew, McKinleigh Beth Loftin and Steven Curtis Loftin. She is also survived by her dear cousin, Sharon McAlister. She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Dwight, and her son Christopher, all of whom she held close in her heart.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Carriage Inn of Katy for the compassionate care and love they showed Glenda in her final days. Her gentle spirit and laughter will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In accordance with her wishes, Glenda will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Keene, New Hampshire. As her family gathers to celebrate her life, they find solace in the beautiful memories and the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.
