Her life was a testament to love, joy, and resilience, and she touched the hearts of all who knew her. In 1991, Glenda married the love of her life, Neal Swartz, and together they built a strong and enduring partnership that lasted for 35 beautiful years. Their marriage was a source of inspiration to many, as they navigated life's challenges with grace and unwavering devotion to one another. Glenda was a woman of many passions. She found immense joy in dancing, a pastime that brought her both happiness and a sense of freedom. Her love for University of Tennessee football was legendary among friends and family, and game days were always an enthusiastic event in the Swartz household. Above all, Glenda cherished her family deeply. She was a devoted mother to Kenneth (Tanya) Rummage and a loving grandmother to Kelcie, Wesley, and Collin Rummage, who brought her boundless pride and happiness. Glenda's warmth and kindness extended to all members of her family, including her sister Cherita (Rodney) Johnson and her dear Aunt Mary Lou Johnson. She shared a special bond with her nephew, Justin (Cierra) Johnson, who looked up to her as a guiding light in his life. Throughout her life, Glenda's spirit was one of generosity and compassion. Her legacy of love and laughter will be carried on by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Glenda's memory, honoring her lifelong commitment to helping others.
