It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenda Rudy, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on July 14, 2026, at her home. Glenda was born on September 8, 1962, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be remembered by those who knew her.
Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Martha Rudy- Shover and Glenn Rudy whose values of kindness and family she carried forward throughout her life. Her loving spirit will continue to shine through her surviving family: her devoted daughter Christina Dudley, her caring son Brian Andrews, her supportive brothers Mike Rudy and Jeff Rudy and her dear sister Jennifer Rudy. Glenda was the proud grandmother to six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
A woman of diverse passions, Glenda found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for nature and spent countless hours exploring the outdoors, always accompanied by her faithful feline companion, Izzy. Her admiration for tigers was well-known among her family and friends, and she was an avid fan of WWE, never missing a chance to watch her favorite matches. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friend Parbati Rai. Above all, Glenda cherished every moment spent with her family, and her home was always filled with laughter and love.
Glenda was blessed with a sweet smile that could light up any room, and her compassionate, family-oriented nature endeared her to everyone she met. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family, and her memory will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A viewing will be July 21,2026 held at 10am followed by the service beginning at 11am at the Duncannon Church of God located at 2 Muhlenberg Ave, Duncannon, PA 17020. There will be luncheon provided at 11:30pm following the procession to the cemetery at 12pm.
As we say goodbye to Glenda, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of nature that she so dearly loved.
