With great love and a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of Glenda Nell Pomroy Pearce, who departed this world peacefully on June 11, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Midland, Texas. Born on September 27, 1939, in Crane, Texas, Glenda's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Glenda was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Augusta Pomroy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved stepmother Lois Pomroy, her brother Robert Pomroy, her sister Carolyn Kinsey, her brother-in-law Arlen Johnson, nieces Ginger Aylor Pomroy and Debbie Pearson, and her sweet fur baby, Dora. Glenda's early years were spent in Monahans, Texas, where she graduated high school before moving to Midland in 1956. There, she pursued an education in Office Administration, earning a certificate from a prominent business school. Her career began at Humble Oil & Refining in 1958, where she excelled as a stenographer. In 1960, Glenda married Herbert Pearce, with whom she had three sons, marking the beginning of a new chapter filled with love and family life. Her marriage to Herbert Pearce, though it ended in divorce in 1985, was blessed with a beautiful family. Glenda is survived by her sons: Herb and his wife Kimberly Pearce of Lampasas, Texas; Brad and his wife Keely Pearce of Biloxi, Mississippi; and John Vincent and his wife Debbie Pearce of Midland, Texas. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jordan Pearce Jones and her husband Aaron Jones of Watsontown, Pennsylvania; Amy Catherine and Rebekah Kimberly Pearce of Lampasas, Texas; Reagan and Tristan Esposito, Heather and Hudson Pearce of Midland, Texas; and her great-grandchildren: Alexa, Callie Jo, Ariana, Avery, Catherine, Ryan, Pryce, and Troy Esposito, who brought immense joy to her life. A devoted sister, Glenda is also survived by her sister Paula Johnson of Monahans, Texas, and sister-in-law Debbie Pomroy of Odessa. Her extended family includes nieces Jennifer and Robbin Pomroy of Odessa, Sheila and Phil McKown of Springtown, Texas, with their children Memarie and Audrey, and Mike and Shamane Kinsey with their children Kaitlan and TJ Wood. Additionally, Walt, Tasha Pearson, Taylor and Sabrina Pearson, and Hazel and Bode Pearson will all carry Glenda's memory forward. Glenda's life was deeply entwined with her community, particularly through her active volunteerism at the First Baptist Church of Midland. After raising her family, she found immense fulfillment in her role at Julian Gold, managing premium accounts and customer service at the luxury retailer. Her dedication to her work and her clients was evident, and many became lifelong friends. While Glenda's family will honor her life in a private ceremony, the impact of her kindness, warmth, and generosity will be felt by many. Her life was a beacon of love, showing the importance of family, friendship, and community. As we remember Glenda, we celebrate a life richly lived and deeply loved. May her memory live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
