Glenda G. Braun

January 14, 1948 — November 22, 1968

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glenda G. Braun, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on November 22, 2026, at the age of 78. Glenda was born on January 14, 1948, in the charming town of Oneonta, Alabama, to Howard and Lilly Bellew, both of whom predeceased her. Her life's journey took her to Lakeland, Florida, where she graduated from Lakeland High School, embarked on her professional career, and began a remarkable family legacy. On November 22, 1968, in Lakeland, Glenda married the love of her life, Charles Braun. Together, they built a life filled with love and dedication that spanned 58 beautiful years. Their union was blessed with a son, Craig, who, along with his wife Andrea, gave her the gift of two adored granddaughters, Bethany Braun-Kent and Rebekah Braun. Glenda's family was her proudest achievement, and she cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing and guiding them with her endless love and wisdom. Glenda's career as an accountant at The Heritage Presbyterian Foundation was marked by dedication and excellence. For 40 years, she contributed her skills and expertise to the Foundation, leaving a legacy of professionalism and integrity. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her passion for the beauty of nature. Glenda had a special affinity for flowers, particularly roses, which she lovingly cultivated around her home, creating an oasis of color and fragrance that reflected her vibrant spirit. Those who knew Glenda will remember her as a woman of exceptional warmth, kindness, and grace. Her gentle smile and compassionate heart touched all who crossed her path. She was a beacon of love and strength, offering support and encouragement to her family and friends, and her memory will forever illuminate our hearts. A service to honor and celebrate Glenda's life will be held on May 1, 2026, at the Veterans Funeral Care located at 830 No. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL, 33765. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in the remembrance of a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Glenda's memory to a charity of your choice, to continue her legacy of kindness and generosity. May Glenda rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
