With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Glenda Ann Fruge', a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who departed this world on August 16, 2026. Born on April 6, 1958, in Basile, Louisiana, Glenda's life was a testament to love, generosity, and the pursuit of perfection.
Glenda was the cherished daughter of the late Hildred and Evella (Fontenot) Fruge'. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Elroy Fruge and Russell Fruge', as well as her grandparents, Marshall and Rose (Bellard) Fontenot. Her memory will forever be treasured by her surviving siblings, Barbara Fruge'-Johnson, Linda Fruge', Michael Fruge', Sandra Fruge-Jack, and Leisa Fruge', who each held a special place in her heart.
Glenda had an innate love for traveling, which she pursued passionately in her free time. Her adventures took her to places that inspired her soul and filled her life with vibrant stories and cherished memories. Known for her generous spirit and loving nature, Glenda touched the lives of many. Her love was intense and unwavering, and she gave it freely to those around her. Striving for perfection in all she did, Glenda set an example of dedication and commitment that was admired by all who knew her.
A service to honor and celebrate Glenda's life will take place on September 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Christian World, located at 2001 E Gauthier Road, Lake Charles, LA 70607. Family, friends, and all whose lives were impacted by Glenda are warmly invited to join in this tribute.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Glenda's generous nature and her desire to give back to those in need.
