December 23, 1953 — June 15, 2026

Gladys Mae Kimble, a beacon of warmth and joy, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with terminal breast cancer. Born on December 23, 1953, in Beaumont, Texas, Gladys was a truly vibrant soul who touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her infectious spirit and boundless love. Gladys grew up in Beaumont, where she developed a love for sports, particularly basketball, a passion she carried with her throughout her life. Her enthusiasm for the game was surpassed only by her love for gatherings where she was, without a doubt, the life of the party. Her laughter, warmth, and vivacity created memories that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to be in her presence. A devoted mother, Gladys is survived by her loving daughter, Keisha Kimble, who was her pride and joy. Keisha embodies the strength, kindness, and resilience that Gladys so beautifully exemplified. Gladys was also the beloved grandmother to three adoring grandchildren: Tanzania George, Khadi George, and Julian Kimble-Denton, whom she often referred to as her greatest blessings. Her love extended to her precious great-granddaughter, Tensley Holmes, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment in her later years. Gladys's life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and resilience. She approached each day with a spirit of celebration, finding happiness in simple joys and the company of her cherished family and friends. Her legacy is one of strength, compassion, and the unwavering belief in the importance of living life fully and joyfully. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Gladys and their family during her illness, providing comfort and companionship during her journey. Your kindness will never be forgotten. A celebration of Gladys Mae Kimble's life will be held on a date to be announced, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory in a manner befitting her joyous spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to breast cancer research, a cause close to Gladys's heart. Gladys Mae Kimble will be dearly missed yet fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. May her memory be a blessing to all.
