Gladys was a cherished wife to her devoted husband, Roy Hughes, and a nurturing mother to her four children: Roy Frankie Junior, Patrick Hughes, Stephanie Hughes, and Ray Wesly Hughes. Her legacy and spirit live on through her family, including her four beloved grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness. A dedicated and active member of the Middlesex Church of Christ for the past 25 years, Gladys was known for her unwavering faith and her wholehearted participation in religious services. Those who were blessed to hear her sing can attest to the energy and passion she brought to her praise of God. Her church community remembers her as an outstanding member, whose humility, respect, and gentle nature left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Gladys was a woman of extraordinary character, known for her contagious smile and her love of good food. Her presence was a beacon of positivity and kindness, and she thrived in the company of others, always bringing joy and comfort to those around her. She never spoke a harsh word, and her harmless nature endeared her to all. As requested by the family, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman.
