It is with deep sorrow but loving remembrance that we announce the peaceful passing of Giuseppe Salvatore Multari, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Giuseppe departed this world on May 19, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital, enveloped in the love and care of his family. He was 90 years old.
Born on April 8, 1936, in the picturesque town of Reggio Calabria, Italy, Giuseppe was the beloved son of Pietro and Vincenza Multari. His early years in Italy were filled with the vibrant culture and rich traditions that he carried with him throughout his life. In his youth, Giuseppe embraced the values of hard work and dedication, which would become the cornerstones of his character.
In his adopted home of the United States, Giuseppe found not only opportunity but also love. He met the love of his life, Maria, and together they built a beautiful life, sharing 64 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Their journey together was blessed with the joy of raising three wonderful children: Anna, Fran, and Frank. Giuseppe was a devoted father, always providing guidance, support, and an abundance of love.
Giuseppe spent many years working at the Woodlawn Cemetery, where he was known for his strong work ethic and his respectful care for the grounds. His colleagues remembered him as a man of integrity and kindness, who took great pride in his work, ensuring that the cemetery was not only a place of rest but also a place of beauty.
His legacy continues through his children and his cherished granddaughter, Nicole, who brought immense joy to his life. Giuseppe found great delight in watching Nicole grow, sharing stories of his childhood, and passing down family traditions.
Giuseppe is survived by his beloved wife, Maria; his daughters, Anna and husband Steve, Fran and husband Eric; his son, Frank and wife Christine; and his precious granddaughter, Nicole. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Pietro and Vincenza Multari.
A funeral service to honor Giuseppe's life will be held on May 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Brady's Funeral Home, located at 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie, NY 12051. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable life of a man who touched the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Giuseppe, continuing his legacy of generosity and compassion.
Giuseppe Salvatore Multari will be forever remembered for his love of family, his commitment to his work, and his gentle spirit. Though he will be dearly missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
