January 23, 1960 — April 1, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gisele Annette Dubois, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who departed from this world on April 1, 2026. Born on January 23, 1960, in the charming town of St. Claude, Manitoba, Gisele was a beacon of love, kindness, and warmth throughout her 66 years of life. Gisele was the cherished daughter of the late Matthieu and Yvonne Gagne. She shared a deep and enduring bond with her family, one that was evident to all who knew her. Preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ronald Dubois, Gisele now joins him in eternal rest. Her journey began in St. Claude, but it was in Winnipeg, at the Precious Blood School, where Gisele completed her education and discovered her remarkable skill in typing. Her talent was undeniable, with an impressive accuracy of 96%, which made her highly sought after. Shortly after high school, she began her professional career as a clerk typist with the Canada Revenue Agency. However, her heart led her to a greater calling—raising her family. She left her position to become a full-time mother, a role she embraced with unwavering dedication and love. Her family was her world, and she sacrificed personal ambitions to ensure their happiness and well-being. Gisele and Ronald's love story began at the Precious Blood Church in St. Boniface, where they married on July 8, 1978. Together, they built a family filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Gisele was the proud mother of Angele, Daniel, Philippe (Sabrina), and Julien (Amy), and a doting grandmother to her precious grandson, Samuel. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her siblings, Liliane, Marilyn, Diane, Donald (Joan), Roland (Laurie), and her twin brother, Marcel. After a twelve-year hiatus dedicated to nurturing her family, Gisele returned to the Canada Revenue Agency, where she resumed her career in data entry. Her dedication and expertise were valued until her well-deserved retirement in 2024. In retirement, Gisele found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her garden was a testament to her nurturing spirit, her novels offered her solace, and her knitting kept her hands and heart warm. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Gisele will be remembered for her radiant smile, her contagious laughter, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. A service to celebrate Gisele's life will be held at Desjardin Funeral Chapel, located at 357 Des Meurons St, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, in memory of Gisele A Dubois. May her soul rest in peace, enveloped in the love she so generously shared with the world.
