It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gina LaRae Rodriquez, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who departed this world on June 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on February 19, 1972, in Long Beach, California, Gina's 54 years were filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those she cherished. Gina was the beloved daughter of Reynaldo Rodriquez and Mary Legrant. She was raised in a family that valued kindness and resilience, traits that Gina carried with her throughout her life. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Lydia Garcia, whose memory she held close to her heart. A devoted mother, Gina is survived by her two cherished sons, Jeremy Bullock and Derrick Herrera, who were her pride and joy. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Mary, and her sisters, Lynda Casiano, married to Mary, Tina Haugen, married to Andrew, and Dawn Hum, married to Jason. Gina's family extended far beyond these close ties, with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, all of whom she adored and who adored her in return. Gina was a woman of great warmth and empathy, qualities that were evident in her professional life. She spent several years working at Ralph's, where she was known for her friendly smile and helpful nature. Before that, she brought joy and comfort to many as an Activities Coordinator at a nursing home, where her creativity and compassion touched countless lives. Though she never had grandchildren of her own, Gina's nurturing spirit and generous heart made her a beloved figure in the lives of many children, including her nieces and nephews. Her home was often filled with laughter and the aroma of her famous homemade meals, which she loved to share with family and friends. Gina's life was a testament to strength and grace in the face of adversity. Her battle with illness was fought with the same courage and dignity that defined her character. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her. As we say goodbye to Gina, we remember her not only for the challenges she faced but for the joy she brought into the world. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of love and dedication, woven with the threads of family, friendship, and service to others. A celebration of Gina's life will be held at a later date, where all who knew and loved her can gather to honor her memory and the indelible impact she made on our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gina's name to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Gina LaRae Rodriquez will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on in the cherished memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of her family and the enduring light of her beautiful soul.
