Gidget Lacreasia Williams

July 25, 1973 — May 6, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Gidget Lacreasia Williams, who left this world on May 6, 2026. Born on July 25, 1973, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Gidget was the cherished daughter of Peggy Williams and the late Robert Monroe Williams. Gidget's life was a testament to love, loyalty, and laughter. She was a devoted wife to Sidney Williams III, whom she married on August 3, 2019. Their union was the culmination of over 30 years of friendship and love, a bond that was as unshakeable as it was joyful. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, music, and laughter. A proud mother, Gidget's heart swelled with love for her daughter, Gia Seaborn. Her family was her world, and she was the beloved sister of Khalilah, Troy, and Bre'anne Williams. As an aunt, she embraced her nieces and nephews—Devontae Hall, Katerra Williams, Alije' Williams, Devontae Smith-Hall, Maurice Muse, Maur'ron Williams, Emile Bell III, and Tiana Williams—with maternal affection, guiding them with her wisdom and joy. Gidget's educational journey began at Lawrence D. Crocker Elementary and Samuel James Green Middle School, culminating with her graduation from McDonogh 35 Senior High in 1991. She pursued her passion for caring for others by studying Nursing at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. Her compassionate nature led her to a fulfilling career at Assurant in Atlanta, GA, where she served as a Senior Processor for over 20 years. Her dedication and integrity in her work left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. Gidget's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active member of St. Francis De Salle Catholic Church in New Orleans, where she sang with the choir, lifting spirits with her beautiful alto voice. Her faith journey continued in Atlanta at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and later at St. Lucy Catholic Church in Houma, LA, where she was a cherished member of the community. Her passions went beyond her professional and spiritual life. Gidget was a devoted fan of Mary J. Blige, attending concerts with the enthusiasm of a true fan, and she was a loyal supporter of the New Orleans Saints, cheering them on with unwavering dedication. Her generosity knew no bounds; she was a woman who would give you the clothes off her back, always putting the needs of others before her own. Gidget's spirit was as vibrant as her smile, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she has no grandchildren to carry on her traditions, her legacy lives on in the love she shared with her family and friends. In honoring Gidget's life, we celebrate a woman whose warmth and selflessness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire us every day. As her favorite songs would often remind us, she was a woman of strength and grace, and her melody will echo in our hearts forever.
