Gerold Lee

October 9, 1978 — May 28, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Gerold Lee, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Gerold departed this world on May 28, 2026, at the age of 47, following a sudden stroke. He was born on October 9, 1978, in Atlanta, Georgia, where he spent his formative years crafting a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Gerold was predeceased by his cherished siblings, brother Arthur Lee and sister Debra Williams, whose memories he held dear throughout his life. He leaves behind his devoted sister, Jerrica Lee, his loving wife, Halimah Lee, whom he married on June 7, 2006, and his treasured children, Nurideen Crumbley, Fatimah Crumbley, and Jahan Crumbley. He also leaves behind one grandchild, whose presence brought Gerold immense joy and pride. Among those who will carry Gerold’s spirit forward is his close friend, Jackson Brown, who stood by him through life’s many adventures. Gerold was a proud alumnus of Howard University, where he earned a degree in Finance. His career was marked by a dedication to his work, yet it was his exuberant personality and zest for life that truly defined him. Known for his warmth and humor, Gerold had an unparalleled ability to light up a room with his stories, particularly those shared as the sun set—often accompanied by his infectious laughter and animated storytelling. An avid football enthusiast, Gerold was known as much for his passionate cheering as for his love of the game. His weekends were often spent fishing, sampling new cuisines, and indulging in the simple pleasures of life. These hobbies were not just pastimes, but a testament to Gerold’s appreciation for the world around him and the people within it. To honor and celebrate Gerold's life, a service will be held on June 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, located at 4550 Peachtree Rd NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and find comfort in one another's company as we pay tribute to a remarkable soul who touched the lives of all he encountered. Gerold Lee was a beacon of light whose legacy will endure through the lives of his family and friends. As we bid farewell, we hold onto the special message left by his family—“Forever in our hearts”—a sentiment that captures the essence of Gerold’s enduring impact. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Gerold’s memory to a charity of your choice, as he believed deeply in giving to those in need and supporting the community. Rest in peace, dear Gerold. Your spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the love that binds us together.
