Born on October 1, 1939, in the picturesque town of Humacao, Puerto Rico, Geraldo's journey through life came to a peaceful close on June 3, 2026, at BayState Hospital. Surrounded by the comfort and love of his family, Geraldo gracefully concluded a courageous two-week battle with pneumonia. Geraldo's life was a testament to resilience, dedication, and love. Growing up in Humacao, he faced a challenging childhood with determination and an unwavering spirit. It was this strength that propelled him to build a life that he could be proud of—a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished moments. For nearly 30 years, Geraldo shared a beautiful marriage with his devoted wife, Cuc Perez. Together, they cultivated a home filled with warmth and love, a sanctuary for their family and a beacon of unity and strength. Geraldo's legacy is carried forward by his loving family, including his sister, his son, his daughters, and his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His life was a testament to the profound impact of familial bonds, with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who will carry forward his memory and values. Geraldo was a man of simple pleasures and profound wisdom. He found joy in the gentle embrace of the sea, often spending tranquil hours fishing and crabbing. These moments by the water were not just hobbies; they were reflections of his soul—a soul that found peace in nature's beauty and simplicity. His hands were never idle, as he loved to work with them, crafting and creating, leaving tangible pieces of his love for family and friends to cherish. A dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Parish, Geraldo's faith was a guiding light throughout his life. His involvement in the community was marked by kindness, honesty, and a straightforward demeanor that endeared him to many. Known for his straightforward personality, Geraldo was a man whose words were as genuine as his heart. He valued hard work, instilling in those around him the importance of perseverance and integrity. Geraldo's life was a journey of love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family.
