In Loving Memory

Geraldine Williams
July 19, 1926 — June 30, 2026
Geraldine Williams, a beloved matriarch and a beacon of strength, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at the age of 99. Born on July 19, 1926, in Louisiana, Geraldine was a cherished daughter of Thomas and Jean Williams. She was a devoted wife to the late Herald Lee, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership since their marriage in 1939.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Jean Williams, as well as her children, Kevin Williams and Sandra Lane. She is survived by her loving son, Tracy Williams, her godson, Chris Price, and her daughter, LaSandra Price. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Chris Jr., Sharquela, Christina, Aaron, Hope, and Devan—and her great-grandchildren, Lyric, Kaci, Levon, AD, Devyn, Skyler, and Solaya. Geraldine also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A graduate of Booker T. Washington in 1943, Geraldine embarked on a fulfilling career in the banking industry, dedicating many years of service as a teller at Bank of America. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her dedication to her community. Geraldine was a devoted Sunday School teacher who believed fervently in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Even in her later years, while residing in an assisted living facility, she continued to inspire and uplift others by holding one-on-one Bible studies with fellow residents.
Known for her candid nature, Geraldine had a unique ability to "tell it like it is" with love and compassion, always offering a warm hug after sharing her thoughts. Her kitchen was her sanctuary, where she delighted in cooking and teaching others the art of culinary creation, a passion she joyfully shared with family and friends.
Geraldine's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all who have shown their love and support during this difficult time. Whether through a floral tribute, kind words, or simply keeping them in your thoughts, your gestures of compassion have been deeply appreciated.
In honor of Geraldine's life and her fight against breast cancer, the family kindly suggests that memorial contributions be made to a breast cancer research organization or a charity of your choice.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to commemorate Geraldine's remarkable life, celebrating her enduring spirit and the love she so generously shared with all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her presence.
