Geraldine Clark

October 1, 1926 — March 12, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Geraldine Clark, affectionately known as "Ms. Geri" to many, who peacefully departed this world on March 12, 2026, at the age of 99. Born on October 1, 1926, in Benton, Illinois, Geraldine lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for all creatures great and small. Geraldine was a beacon of joy and warmth, known for her infectious smile and her ability to light up a room with her presence. She relished being the center of attention, always quick with a joke and never shying away from a chance to surprise those around her. Her love for hugs and kisses from all the "men folk" was well-known and cherished by many. Her professional journey was marked by her deep love for animals. As the proud owner of 4 Paws Grooming Salon, Geraldine dedicated her life to the care and breeding of over 500 Shih Tzus and poodles. Even after retiring, her passion for grooming never waned, and she continued to groom dogs well into her 96th year. Her skill and dedication left an indelible mark on both her furry clients and their human companions. A long-time resident of the Lakeside Village Community, Geraldine was an active member of various committees, the Mariners Club, and the clubhouse, where she enjoyed participating in community events and forging lasting friendships. She looked forward to her daily golf cart rides and was always ready for a fishing adventure. Saturdays were reserved for her favorite pastime, "Show Me the Money" nights at the clubhouse, where her lively spirit and laughter echoed through the halls. Though preceded in death by her cherished son, Harold Michael, and her three husbands, Winford Glover, Jack Clark, and Ivan Johns, Geraldine leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her surviving sister, Laurene "Tuttie" Ferrell, along with her niece and nephew, Cynthia and Bryant Newman, and her great-nieces Addisyn and Madilyn Newman, will continue to celebrate her legacy of love and laughter. A special recognition is given to her devoted caregiver, Kathy Sansocia, whose compassionate care, alongside Bob, allowed Geraldine to remain comfortably at home in her final years. A celebration of Geraldine's remarkable life will be held on March 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at her cherished residence, fondly referred to as "Ms. Geri's Home" at 1201 Pear Lane. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived, to share stories, hugs, and perhaps a joke or two in her honor. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Kathy and Bob for their unwavering kindness and support, which provided Geraldine the comfort and dignity she so deserved in her final years. Geraldine Clark's light may have dimmed on this earth, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will live on in every wagging tail, every shared laugh, and in the boundless love she gave so freely.
