The son of the late Willie and Nora (Colyer) Ping, Gerald was raised with love and values that he carried forward into every aspect of his life. His parents, who preceded him in death, were foundational figures in shaping the kind-hearted and passionate man he became. Gerald found immense joy in the community of the First Apostolic Church, where he was not only a member but a beloved figure. His church family was central to his life, providing him with a profound sense of belonging and purpose. His unwavering faith and dedication to his spiritual home were evident to all who knew him.
