He is survived by his devoted mother, Janie Perez, who was his guiding light, as well as his two precious children, Jason and Maliyha Perez, who were the pride and joy of his life. Gerald also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including three aunts, four uncles, twenty six cousins, and twenty one great cousins, each of whom will dearly miss his bright spirit.
In his professional life, Gerald found joy in his work as a DoorDash delivery driver, a role that enabled him to explore his community and connect with people from all walks of life. His career was more than just a job; it was an opportunity to share his infectious humor and warmth with everyone he met.
Outside of work, Gerald was a man of vibrant interests and boundless energy. He had a passion for sports, especially basketball and football. Green Bay Packers being his favorite football team and Los Angeles Lakers was his basketball team. He could often be found on the court or field, playing with friends or cheering on his favorite teams. His love for travel took him to new places, where he embraced new cultures and experiences with open arms. Gerald's ability to find joy and laughter in everyday moments was one of his most defining qualities, and he never missed a chance to share a joke or a kind word to lift the spirits of those around him.
