It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Dausey Grevious, AKA - Speedy, beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend, who left us on June 22, 2026, after a courageous battle with diabetes. Born on February 24, 1958, in New York, Gerald was a beacon of strength, love, and joy to all who knew him. He was 68 years old at the time of his passing. Gerald was the cherished son of the late Dausey James Grevious and Ann Grace King, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. He was predeceased by his parents, who welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife. A proud alumnus of Oakcrest High School, class of 1978, Gerald carried the spirit of an inquisitive learner throughout his life. His academic journey led him to a fulfilling career as a radiation technician at Rocky Flats, where he dedicated 28 years of service before retiring in 2006. Known for his diligence and expertise, Gerald was a valued member of the team, respected and admired by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gerald was a man of many passions. A die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite team, donning the black and gold with pride. Gerald's legacy lives on in his cherished children, James Grevious and Robert Grevious, who carry forward his values and love. He was also a devoted grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Gerald's sister, Patricia Ann Moore, survives him, along with one niece and one great-nephew, each holding a special place in his heart. Family and friends gatherings were a cornerstone of Gerald's life, where his infectious laughter and warm presence would fill the room, creating memories that will be treasured forever. His resilience, warmth, and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone he met, and his memory will be held dear by all who had the privilege of knowing him. To honor and celebrate Gerald's life, a service will be held on July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Morningside Manor, located at 13251 W 64th Ave, Arvada, CO 80004. Friends and family are invited to join in paying tribute to a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. As we say goodbye to Gerald, we remember a life of love, laughter, and unwavering strength. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was truly loved and will be dearly missed by all.
