Born on December 30, 1952, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Georgia spent her life in the community she loved, surrounded by family and friends who cherished her deeply.
Georgia was the beloved daughter of the late Luther Mattox and Maebell Campbell Mattox, who instilled in her the values of kindness, perseverance, and faith. She carried these virtues throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met with her warmth and compassion.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory. Her devoted husband, Harold Seay, stood by her side for many cherished years, sharing a life filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including her daughter, Beth Miller, who continues Georgia’s legacy of love and dedication.
Georgia was a proud sister to Wayne Mattox and Charles Mattox, and her bond with them was one of laughter and support. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, bringing her immeasurable joy and pride. She also shared a special connection with her great-nieces and nephews, who will remember her affection and wise guidance.
In honor of Georgia’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, ensuring an intimate gathering for those closest to her heart. She will be tenderly carried to her final resting place by pallbearers Carlos Pruitt, her great-nephew Tyler, and Justin Mattox, along with her grandson Timothy Miller. Their love and respect for Georgia will guide them as they fulfill this cherished duty.
As we celebrate Georgia’s life, we hold dear the memories of her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her steadfast faith. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
