Georgia Pearl Moon
January 14, 1944 — October 11, 2026
Georgia Pearl Moon, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026. Born on January 14, 1944, at home, Georgia was the cherished daughter of Willie Holt. Her warmth and vibrant spirit touched many lives, and she will be remembered for her unwavering kindness and love.
In 1974, Georgia married her true love, and together they built a life full of laughter and joy. As a devoted stay-at-home mom and homemaker, Georgia dedicated her life to nurturing her family with love and care. Her home was always open, filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, and echoing with the sounds of laughter and music.
Georgia had a zest for life that was infectious. She was never without a smile and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her love for fishing, horror movies, and old westerns was well-known, and she could often be found enjoying these hobbies with her family and friends. Georgia also had a passion for singing, dancing, and drawing, talents that she generously shared with those around her.
Preceded in death by her parents, Rollie Freeman, Willie Freeman, Sissy Freeman, and her granddaughter Kaleigh Statler, Georgia's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by Johnny and Lanette Freeman, Georgia Statler, 16 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished the time spent with each of them.
A celebration of Georgia's life will be held on October 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Searcy Mcewen, located on Main Street. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the memory of a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to love and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Georgia's memory. Her spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
