Until I See You Again, Mom

Not a day has passed by that I haven’t thought about you, And of the void you’ve left behind in that wooden church pew. You left so suddenly and in the blink of an eye, The news came as a shock; we still don’t understand why. Truth is, though, you’ve gone home to a much better place; When you took your last breath and looked upon your Master’s face. The days to come won’t be easy; some may say they’ll be filled with grief; But at your request, I’ll do my best to keep it brief. For I know what awaits me when it’s my turn to go; I’ll join you in Heaven to walk on those streets of gold. What a time we’ll have when that moment is here; As my faith will have helped me conquer my biggest fear. Thank you for the times we spent together these last few years; But for now I must go and wipe away these tears. Until I see you again, go enjoy all of the fun to be had; And say hello to those gone on before; don’t forget to hug your mom and dad.

Special Thanks

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregiver, Stephon Flakes and Southern Care Hospice.
