Georgia Ann Davis

March 2, 1934 — July 6, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Georgia Ann Davis on July 6, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on March 2, 1934, in the heart of Tennessee, Georgia was the beloved daughter of Henry Johnson and Nishie Dean. She has now left this world to be embraced by the arms of Jesus. Georgia was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bert, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family life. Together, they lovingly raised six children, although they faced the heartache of saying goodbye to sons Jerry and Mike, as well as her cherished brother, Jack. Georgia also mourned the loss of multiple grandchildren, who now rest peacefully with her. She is survived by her loving children: daughter Sissy, and sons Buster, Lawrence (Becky), and Don (Ann). Georgia's legacy continues through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of their beloved "Mammaw." Her family was the center of her world, and her home was always open, filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of home-cooked meals. Georgia was a woman of many talents and interests. She never missed a vacation opportunity, loved fishing, yard sales, camping, and music. Her garden was a testament to her passion for nature, and she took great pride in her role as a homemaker. Known for her infectious smile, laughter, and ability to find joy in the simplest of moments, Georgia had a unique gift for making everyone feel loved and welcomed. Her hugs and kisses were legendary, and her jovial spirit made every gathering brighter. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Georgia's remarkable life on July 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Affinity Funeral Home, located at 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294. As we gather to remember and honor Georgia, we will carry forward the love and joy she brought into our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Georgia's generous and loving spirit. Though Georgia is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. As we say our goodbyes, we hold tight to the memories and the unwavering love she shared with everyone she met.
