George Mortimer Hutton

George Mortimer Hutton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on August 17, 2026, at the Mountain View Power Care Hospital after a courageous battle with illness. Born on March 29, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, George lived a life of service, dedication, and love. The son of George Hutton Sr. and Sedella Hutton (Keyes), George was deeply rooted in family values, which he carried throughout his life. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Walter and Rif Hutton, and his son-in-law Kenneth Clinton, George's legacy continues through his devoted wife, Tiembe Hutton, and their children: Sharon, Montee, and Kay Hutton. His joy was further magnified by his cherished grandchildren Derrick Hutton-Kinsey and Jorge Hutton, and his great-grandchild, Parker Kinsey. He is also survived by his siblings Mark Hutton, Elizabeth Hutton, and Jeannette Hutton-Pugh. George's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to service. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for over 30 years, including during the Vietnam War, dedicating his life to his country before retiring. Even after his military career, George continued to serve others by working in several hospitals in Las Vegas, offering care and compassion to all he encountered. Those who knew George will remember his quick wit, warm smile, and the gift he had for making everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and he was always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. A lover of books, old movies, and basketball, George found joy in life’s simple pleasures, sharing his zest for life with those around him. He found love again with Tiembe after losing his first wife, Joyce, to cancer. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and adventure. George's corny jokes and love for movies created many treasured family moments that will be fondly remembered. A celebration of George’s life will be held on September 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Hobby Lounge. Family, friends, and all whose lives George touched are invited to honor his memory and share in the joy of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in George's memory to a charity of choice, reflecting his spirit of generosity and care for others. George Mortimer Hutton will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
