George Mendoza, a cherished soul and a beloved member of the Dallas community, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on April 6, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, George spent his life deeply connected to the city he loved so dearly.
George was a devoted family man, known for his unwavering support and kindness. He is predeceased by his beloved mother, Juanita Mendoza, and his cherished son, Jason Mendoza, both of whom he held close to his heart every day of his life.
He is survived by his loving family, including his treasured relatives Andrew Ochoa, Daniel Ochoa, Nikki Mendoza, and Angela Hernandez, who will continue to carry forward his legacy. George was a proud grandfather to six beautiful grandchildren and found immense joy in the presence of his great-grandchild. His family was his pride and joy, and he reveled in every moment spent with them.
George was known for his passion for Dallas's professional sports teams, and he could often be found cheering them on with enthusiasm and fervor. Whether it was football, basketball, or baseball, his love for the game was infectious, and he never missed an opportunity to share a game with friends and family.
In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, honoring George’s preference for an intimate gathering of those he held dear.
