Born on January 26, 1943, in Meridian, Michigan, George's life was a testament to dedication, ingenuity, and a profound love for his family and passions. George was the cherished son of George and Clara Hargrave, who instilled in him the values of hard work and perseverance. He was predeceased by his beloved brother, David Hargrave, with whom he shared many childhood adventures and memories that shaped his life. In 1964, George married his first love, Kay Dupne, in a beautiful ceremony on June 20. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter until Kay's untimely passing on November 30, 1992. Their union was blessed with a son, George Hargrave Jr., and two daughters, Kimberly Hargrave Barnes and Cindy Neyland. George's heart and home were always open, and his love extended to his daughters-in-law, Tatiana Hargrave Jones and Morgan Hargrave Brown, who became cherished members of the family. On April 17, 1993, George found love again and married Janet Rasmussen in Houston, Texas. Their marriage brought renewed joy and companionship, which they shared with their extended family, creating a home where love knew no bounds. An entrepreneur at heart, George was a visionary who founded several successful businesses, including a nursing home, a physical therapy company, a real estate firm, and a veterinary company. His passion for entrepreneurship and his dedication to providing care and service to others left a lasting impact on the communities he served. George's life was richly woven with his love for fishing and traveling, which took him to serene lakes and distant lands. He found joy in building intricate model ships and was an avid radio enthusiast, spending countless hours exploring the airwaves both near and far. His hobbies were a testament to his curiosity and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. George is survived by his devoted wife, Janet, and his adored children, George Jr., Kimberly, and Cindy. His legacy lives on in his loving brother, Robert Hargrave, and in the lives of his cherished daughters-in-law, Tatiana and Morgan. His family, including numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will forever hold dear the countless lessons and love he imparted. Family and friends are invited to celebrate George's remarkable life on April 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Rest Haven Memorial Park, located at 2500 State Highway 66, Rockwall, TX 75087.
