He was predeceased by his dear daughter-in-law, Kathy Lingo.
George graduated from Acton Boxborough High School in 1954 and dedicated his professional life to the Grace Chemical Plant, where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement in 1998. Ever industrious, he also spent weekends painting houses, showcasing his dedication and work ethic. A man of many talents and interests, George was an active member of the Alpine Square Dancing community, and his love for the simple pleasures of life was evident in his cherished vegetable garden and his evenings spent calling bingo games.
George’s passion for life extended beyond work and hobbies. He found joy in camping at Wyman’s Beach, where he was known as an accomplished horseshoe player and a generous soul, always eager to lend a hand. He cherished his time as an avid cruise traveler and loved riding his bicycle around his community. Evenings were often spent in the company of friends and family, sharing stories over a glass of wine, his kindness and willingness to help others shining through in every interaction.
Later in life, George found a special bond with Janis Hendershot, sharing over two decades of love and companionship, further enriching his life with joy and contentment.
