George departed from this world peacefully at his home on December 2, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on November 25, 1963, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, George was a beacon of love and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. George was the cherished son of George McGee and Juliet Borders, who were the guiding lights of his formative years. His childhood was filled with laughter and love, surrounded by his siblings, Tallesia Borders, Curtis McGee, Alonzo McGee, and Cedrica Straker. Together, they created a tapestry of memories that framed George's life with warmth and affection. In 1983, George answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Army. During his three years of service, he exemplified dedication and courage, traits that he carried with him throughout his life. For the past 15 years, George shared a deep and abiding partnership with Sharon Glenn. Their relationship was one of mutual respect and unwavering support, grounded in love and understanding. Together, they created a life filled with joy and contentment. George was the proud father of Heaven Dorsey-McGee, who was his pride and joy. Though he leaves behind no grandchildren, his legacy will continue to live on through the stories and memories shared by his family and friends. George's journey through life was marked by his infectious smile and his kind heart. He was a friend to many, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. His generosity and compassion were the hallmarks of his character, and he touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. A celebration of George's life will be held on April 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Inglewood Park Cemetery, located at 720 E Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301. Friends, family, and all those whose lives George touched are warmly invited to attend. As we remember George, we find comfort in the special message from his family, who extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
