George Bahm

George Bahm, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on August 28, 2026. Born on September 17, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, George lived a life marked by courage, dedication, and unwavering love for those around him. George was the cherished son of George N. and Mary Louise Bahm. He graduated from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia in 1968. Driven by a deep sense of duty, he enlisted in the United States Army shortly after graduation. Between 1968 and 1970, George served with valor in Vietnam, where he earned numerous medals, including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Silver Star, for his heroic actions. Upon returning home, George continued his commitment to service by joining the United Auto Workers (UAW) and working for the Budd Company. He dedicated many years to the manufacturing industry, ultimately retiring from US Can in 2001. His strong work ethic and commitment to his colleagues were a testament to his character and integrity. On November 16, 1974, George married the love of his life, Beverly N. Lebon. Together, they built a loving marriage that stood the test of time until Beverly's passing. George was predeceased by his beloved wife and their son, John, whom he held dear in his heart. George is survived by his devoted son, Michael, and daughter, Courtney, who brought him endless joy and pride. He was also the adored grandfather of Everly, whose laughter and smiles lit up his world. George shared a special bond with his son-in-law, Nate, and cherished the companionship of his sister, Judy. His best friends of over 50 years, Joe and Cathy Allan, remained constants in his life, sharing countless memories and adventures together. A man of simple pleasures, George had a profound love for nature and animals. He found peace and happiness in fishing and spending time with family and friends, always ready to lend a hand or offer support to those in need. His generosity and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. George's warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty will be fondly remembered by all. He was a beacon of strength and love, whose legacy will continue to inspire his family and friends. In remembrance of George's life and service, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization close to his heart.
