It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of George Ashley Call Jr., who departed this world on October 31, 2026, surrounded by love and comfort in his home in Troy, Maine. Born on July 3, 1945, George spent 81 years bringing kindness, warmth, and laughter into the lives of family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him. George was the cherished son of the late George and Alice Leeman Call and was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cherlylee Call, and their son, George Ashley Call III. Despite these profound losses, George remained a beacon of strength and resilience, qualities that defined his character and left an indelible mark on those around him. Throughout his journey, George was accompanied by his beloved domestic partner, Kelly Farnsworth, with whom he shared 16 wonderful years. Their partnership was a testament to love's enduring power, providing each other with unwavering support and joy. He is survived by his devoted partner, Kelly Farnsworth of Troy, Maine, and his loving family: Kendell and Vickie Call of Burnham, Maine. George's legacy continues through his two cherished grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and joy for him. George's life was a tapestry woven with love for his family, an unyielding passion for his work, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He was a man of integrity, guided by principles of honesty, compassion, and humility. In memory of George, and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. This gesture would honor George's generous spirit and his lifelong commitment to helping others. George Ashley Call Jr. will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
