George V. Ritz

George Ritz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, surrounded by the comforting presence of his family after a brave battle with cholangiocarcinoma. Born on April 30, 1968, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, George was a man whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and an unyielding spirit. The son of Ronald P. and Georgianna Harkins, George grew up with a strong sense of family and community. He graduated in 1986 from Lititz High School. His career began with a remarkable 26-year tenure at Creative Landscape Design. In 2017, he followed his passion for stage building, a path he pursued wholeheartedly. George’s professional life was marked by creativity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. George and his beloved wife, Ivie, shared 21 wonderful years together. Their marriage was filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished memories. Whether zip-lining through the great outdoors or enjoying peaceful weekends at the beach, their life together was one of joy and fulfillment. Ivie and George built a loving home and family, raising six wonderful children: Jason, Brittany, Cassandra, Chaelynn, Makayla, and Vincent. He was a devoted father, always ready with a big heart and warm hugs. George’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Adalynn and Milo, who were the light of his life and brought him immeasurable joy. His brother, Brien, and his mother, Georgianna, also survive him, each sharing in the memories of a life well-lived. Known for his generous spirit and compassionate nature, George was a friend to all who knew him. His kindness and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path. George Ritz will be remembered for his enduring love, boundless enthusiasm for life, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
