Geneva ola Mastel ( Jean)
March 22, 1936 — September 1, 2026
Geneva Ola Mastel, lovingly known as Jeanie, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of those who cherished her dearly. Born on March 22, 1936, in Boone North Carolina Jeanie lived a life full of creativity, joy, and selfless giving.
Jeanie was the beloved daughter of Richard Campbell and Nelly Thomas, who preceded her in death along with her sons, Jimmy A. Wiegand and Gary D. Wiegand, and her sister, Lethy. She leaves behind a loving family: her sons, Dwayne Haller of Spokane, WA, Richard and Ron Wiegand of Yakima, WA, and her daughter Sharon (Jeff) Noel of Oklahoma. She was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
Throughout her life, Jeanie was a beacon of positivity and kindness. Her family was her pride, and she was a devoted mother and grandmother, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Jeanie's artistic spirit shone through in her love for painting, drawing, and various crafts. Her passion for music was evident in her singing and listening to melodies that brought joy to her heart.
Jeanie's vibrant personality was highlighted by her love for dressing as a clown, bringing smiles to faces as she participated in the 4-H Wiley City parade. Her deep faith was nurtured at Wiley Union Church, where she spent many happy years in fellowship and worship.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Diane and the staff at Magnolia Heart Adult Family Home for their compassionate care and support during Jeanie's later years. Your kindness is appreciated beyond words.
A celebration of Jeanie's life will be held on September 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Keith and Keith Funeral Home, located at 902 West Yakima Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jeanie's memory.
