Geneva King
January 15, 1933 — June 3, 2026
In the serene embrace of June 3, 2026, Geneva King, a beloved and cherished soul, peacefully departed this world at the age of 93. Born on a crisp winter day, January 15, 1933, in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan, Geneva was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her life. Her journey began as the cherished daughter of Louie and Elizabeth Arnold, who instilled in her values of compassion and generosity that she carried forth with grace.
Geneva, fondly known as "Ms. Jenny" to those close to her, was a proud graduate of Southwestern High School in Detroit. Her early career began at Fox Hardware, where she was known for her diligence and dedication. However, it was her role as a caregiver that defined her life's work, a testament to her inexhaustible capacity for empathy and service to others.
A woman of deep faith, Geneva was a stalwart member of the First Baptist Church. Her voice, a sweet melody, graced the church choir, and her welcoming presence was a constant on the usher board. Her commitment to her church community was unwavering and her faith a guiding light in her life.
Geneva's love for her family was boundless. She was the devoted wife of the late Paul King, with whom she shared countless memories filled with love and laughter. Together, they nurtured a family that grew to include five cherished grandchildren, each of whom was the apple of her eye. Her home was a haven of warmth, where she delighted in sewing and entertaining friends, her laughter echoing through the halls.
Known for her radiant smile and giving heart, Geneva was a friend to many and a stranger to none. Her presence was a gift, her kindness an enduring legacy. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven with love and affection, cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Geneva was predeceased by her beloved parents, Louie and Elizabeth Arnold, and her dear siblings, Robert and Edward Arnold, all of whom she held close in her heart. She now joins them in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends.
The family invites all who knew Geneva to celebrate her remarkable life on June 18, 2026, at Unique Deliverance Ministries, located at 11663 Arcola, Livonia, MI 48150. The service will commence at 1:30 PM, a time to gather, reflect, and honor a life well-lived. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Regency for their compassionate care, ensuring Geneva's final days were filled with dignity and peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of one's choice, in memory of Geneva's enduring spirit and her lifelong dedication to helping others.
