It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Gene Ray Bohannon, who departed this life on December 22, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on August 19, 1952, Gene Ray was a man who embraced life with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. Gene Ray was predeceased by his parents, his beloved sister Viola, his cherished wife Debbie, his infant son, and his dear daughter Krystal. Though their absence left a profound void in his life, he carried the love and memories of his family with him always. He is survived by his devoted sons, Micheal Blevins and Robert Blevins, who were a constant source of pride and joy. Gene Ray's legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Savanna Ketchum, Wyatt Ketchum, Madison Burt, Brooklyn Dye, and Rebecca Dye, who brought boundless happiness to his days. He was also a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a cherished great-uncle, leaving behind a large and loving extended family, as well as countless friends who were touched by his warmth and kindness. Gene Ray was a man of many interests and a zest for life that was truly contagious. He found peace and happiness in nature, spending countless hours camping and fishing, where he felt most at home. His passion for tinkering and working on vehicles was well-known among his family and friends, and he could often be found in the garage, lovingly tending to his projects. Above all, Gene Ray treasured spending time with his family and friends, sharing laughter and creating memories that will be treasured forever. His sense of humor was one of his most endearing qualities, and his ability to bring a smile to the faces of those around him was a gift he shared generously. Gene Ray's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. A celebration of Gene Ray Bohannon's life will be held on October 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Shidler Park. Family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched are invited to join us in honoring his memory and celebrating the remarkable life he led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Gene Ray's memory, as a way to honor his generous spirit and enduring love for those around him. Gene Ray Bohannon will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
