In Loving Memory

Gayle Marie (Henne) Andresen
November 17, 1943 — October 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gayle Marie (Henne) Andresen, a beloved matriarch, friend, and community pillar, who left this world on October 25, 2026. Gayle was born on November 17, 1943, in the vibrant Bronx, NY, to Edward J. Henne and Nancy L. Morgan.
Gayle's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, devotion, and service. She met her soulmate, Henry R. Andresen, and they embarked on a remarkable journey together, marrying on October 5, 1963. Though Gayle paused her education at Mendel School of Nursing to build her family, her life's work became an extraordinary testament to love and community. Together, they raised a beautiful family and became the heart of their community, deeply involved in their church and local activities.
Gayle was predeceased by her husband, Henry, and her sister, Nancy L. Ward, whose memories she cherished profoundly. She is survived by her devoted children: Kimberly (Andresen) Boyle and her husband Gerry, Kevin Andresen and his wife Denise, Kerry (Andresen) Boring and her husband Chris, and Eva Andresen. She was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Ryan Boyle and his wife Tara, Kaitlin Boyle, Matt Boring, Danny Boring, Brendan Boring, Dylan Boring, and Alex Dascher. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Eden Boyle and Henry Boyle, who will carry forward the love and wisdom she imparted.
Gayle dedicated much of her life to her family and her community. She was a cornerstone of the Valley Stream Athletic Association and the Blessed Sacrament Church, where she was a member of the BS Mothers Club and the founder of the Blessed Sacrament Rainbow Club, which she passionately led for over 40 years. Her commitment and service were recognized when she was honored as Woman of the Year, a testament to her impact and dedication.
Her life was filled with joyous pursuits; she loved spending time with her family and was an avid trivia enthusiast, always ready with an interesting fact. Gayle was a Jeopardy aficionado and a frequent participant in Bingo and scratch-offs, where luck often favored her. Gayle made several trips to Ireland to get back to her roots where her mother was born. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage. Her kindness, caring nature, and loyalty to her family, friends, and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Gayle's extraordinary life will be held on November 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Valley Stream, NY 11580. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support the Blessed Sacrament Church, a place that held a special place in Gayle's heart.
Gayle will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts, her memory a guiding light for her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
