Born on April 28, 1964, in Tehran, Iraq, Gavin's life was a journey filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Gavin was the beloved son of the late Patricia Brown and Gerald Greendyke, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the afterlife. His early years were spent in Greenville, OH, where Gavin graduated from Greenville High School in 1982. It was here that he met the love of his life, Pamela Holsapple. The two were high school sweethearts, marrying on November 12, 1983. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership. In 1987, Gavin and Pamela embarked on a new chapter in Charlotte, NC, where they built a beautiful life together with their two sons, Ryan and Aaron. Gavin was a devoted father, always striving to make life joyful and fulfilling for his family. He was blessed with a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Brown, and a precious granddaughter, the light of his later years. Gavin was a man of many talents and interests. His career as a skilled salesman was marked by his success in selling cars and later, tanning beds for Forever Tan in Charlotte. His charm and quick wit made him a natural in his field, and he left an indelible mark on those he worked with. Outside of work, Gavin pursued his passions with enthusiasm. An avid Harley Davidson rider, he found freedom on the open road, a testament to his adventurous spirit. He was also a keen cornhole player and sports enthusiast, often bringing people together with his infectious enthusiasm and competitive spirit. Gavin's personality was a tapestry of warmth and charisma. Known for his quick wit and genuine charm, he had a unique ability to make everyone feel like family. His smile was a beacon of happiness, and his desire to ensure the happiness of those around him was a hallmark of his character. Gavin leaves behind his beloved wife, Pamela, sons Ryan and Aaron, daughter-in-law Stephanie, and granddaughter. He is also survived by Tracey and Wayne Brooks and family, Matt and Andi Brown and family, Mart and Kathy Brown and family, Doree Greendyke Lee and family, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. His absence is deeply felt, yet his spirit endures in the hearts of those who loved him. A service to honor Gavin's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Charlotte, NC. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to friends, family, and colleagues for their unwavering support, love, and prayers throughout the years.
