Gary Robert Brubaker, 55, passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2026, in St. Augustine, Florida.
Gary was born on April 5, 1971, in Elkhart, Indiana and resided in St. Augustine, FL for the last 16 years. Gary graduated from Concord High School, graduating in 1990, and he furthered his education at Vincennes University from 1991 to 1993. Following college, he established a career in masonry, advancing from entrepreneurship to project management roles in Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nicole Brubaker of St. Augustine; daughters Caryssa Beard of Huntersville, N.C.; Cambria Brubaker of Orlando, Florida; Cailynn Brubaker of St, Augustine, FL; granddaughter Allison Callahan of Huntersville, N.C.; brother Scott Brubaker (Maria) of Isanti, Minnesota; nieces Jessica Brubaker of Bradenton, FL and Laney Reinhart (Brubaker) of Isanti, Minnesota; nephew Ryan (Regina) Brubaker.

In celebration of his 50th birthday, Gary embraced the challenge of running, completing a half marathon in 2021 and proudly crossing the finish line of a Disney Run Marathon in January 2024. His passion for running was matched only by his love for travel, nature, and fishing, but above all, he found his greatest joy in the company of his family.
Gary possessed an infectious sense of humor and a warm smile that could light up any room. Known for his quick wit, he was always ready with a joke to lift spirits and bring laughter to those around him. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.
As we say goodbye to Gary, we honor a life well-lived, a man whose presence brought joy and warmth to every gathering. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire us all. May we carry forward the lessons he taught us and find comfort in the cherished memories we shared.
