Gary was born on April 5, 1971, in Elkhart, Indiana, and from the very beginning, his presence was a gift to all who knew him.
Gary's journey through life was marked by a series of enriching experiences and relationships that defined his character and left an indelible mark on those around him. He graduated from Concord High School in 1990, a place where many friendships were formed and cherished. After high school, he pursued further education at Vincennes University from 1991 to 1993.

On a beautiful day, July 3, 2001, in Sandbridge Beach, Virginia, Gary married the love of his life, Nicole (Nikki). Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and unwavering support. Together, they celebrated 25 wonderful years, enriching each other's lives with joy and companionship.

Later in life, Gary found new passions that invigorated his spirit. For his 50th birthday, he took up running, a hobby that became an important part of his weekly routine. He completed a half marathon for his 50th birthday and a Run Disney marathon (date) 26.2 miles. His love for being in nature was evident in his frequent travels and fishing trips, where he found peace and joy in the tranquility of the great outdoors.
Gary's character was as expansive as the landscapes he loved to explore. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, he had an uncanny ability to lighten any mood with a well-timed joke. His kindness was boundless, touching countless lives and leaving a legacy of warmth and generosity.
Gary was a devoted grandfather, a role in which he took immense pride and joy. His only grandchild was a source of profound happiness, and his legacy will surely live on through the cherished memories shared together.
A service to honor and celebrate Gary's remarkable life will be held at Craig Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to remember the joy and love he brought into the world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
